Part II Barbury Castle in Wiltshire has hosted some beautiful formations over the years. This year was no exception, with the arrival on the 28th of July of a massive 585 foot "Flower of Life" design. Unfortunately not many people managed to visit it, as it was only there a few days before the farmer began harvesting.
On the morning of the 4th of August a beautiful design appeared, based upon three swallows in flight. Lying beside "Adams Grave" at the foot of Walkers Hill nr. Alton Barnes in Wiltshire, it was most unexpected and suprised everyone!
Set in an idyllic part of the Wiltshire landscape, the Vale of Pewsey is a natural habitat for swallows, who are often seen within this area that's close to where the formation laid. They often say that "one swallow doesn't make a summer", but here we had three of them - and oh what a summer we were having! Tim Carson's farm at Alton Barns, is often on the receiving end of some startling designs. This year he was blessed with a pair of unusual rope designs, taking up residence in both East Field and South Field.
With crop circles you soon
learn to expect the unexpected, and whilst we were not treated this year
to a formation we could look upon as a "grand finale", they
Researcher Paul Vigay likened it to being part of the molecular make up of LSD! Now whilst there are definite similarities to that structure, skeptics have looked upon this reference to LSD as some sort of cosmic joke! But then when you start thinking about it, many back in the late sixties "tripped out" on acid because they sought other realities...they found it an amazing spiritual experience, during which time a good few felt they'd encountered God. With crop circles letting us know that other realities exist, could that somehow be part of the message here? So that's it for another year folks!...the "plankers" have put their boards back in the garden sheds, the farmers have made thousands out of their "honesty boxes", and the media is once again smiling smugly about all the usual ridicule they've managed to unleash!...The truth is out there though...for overwhelming evidence suggests that a remarkable phenomena exists. Many remain sceptical though, and who can blame them? All this goes right against the current "mechanistic mind-set" and the media's "blinkered" agenda. You should judge these beautiful gifts for yourselves...If a formation lands near you, try to obtain the farmers permission and go visit it. Believe me - nothing usually beats the experience!
