Memories of you, treasured so deeply
like a locket, safely kept,
never hidden, but discreetly held
in my mind so I`ll never forget.

Recollections thumbed through, like an old book
chapters often re-read,
all the laughter from the good times relived
and regrets over things hastily said.

Unforgettable times we spent together
in my mind, I`ll often recall
But, God saw you weary and you left me
so much sadness upon me then befall.

Thankfully I`m blessed,knowing you are near
and each day I slowly progress,
no longer do I find myself hiding away
no more tears of sadness do I suppress.

Because memories of you I hold very close
each personal, strong and so true,
meaningful, loving and all that we shared
the dreams we were going to persue.

Heaven must wait for me,`til my time is done
our dreams I intend to chase,
follow me..come fly through the rainbows
let us rocket to the stars and again embrace.

Lets see the things we proposed to see
to follow our hearts and fulfill each desire,
rewarded by your sunny, sweet smile
as our aspirations continue to lift us up higher.

So many things we planned to do
but I know you`ll walk this path with me,
gently whispering encouragement
a face that shines so proudly.

Within my locket,my memories are stored
protected by love and by you,
together, they`ll carry me onwards until we meet
the day that my life here is through.
